WETANGULA tells UHURU to handle all Kenyans equally – He is favouring KIKUYUS.
– Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula, has accused the Jubilee administration of bias in dealing with victims of terror attacks and other forms of insecurity across the country.
In a strongly worded statement on Tuesday, the opposition lawmaker maintained that victims of the Mpeketoni massacre have been given preferential treatment as opposed to other Kenyans.
“We have spoken publicly about our outrage at what happened in Mpeketoni. But we have seen the double standards that this Government is displaying to Kenyans,” Wetangula said.
The Bungoma lawmaker maintained that the Government has never bothered about victims of insecurity in other parts of the country, citing the killings in Bungoma and ethnic clashes in Wajir.
“When we had killings in Bungoma, nobody bothered. It took the Jubilee Government many weeks for the Deputy President to visit Bungoma,” Wetangula said.
“When we had Mpeketoni, the President nearly declared a state of emergency and you have seen how much resources have been committed by Devolution Secretary, Anne Waiguru, and others for Mpeketoni. They should do this to Bungoma and Wajir victims,” Wetangula said.
He said President Uhuru Kenyatta treats Kikuyus as first class citizens while other 41 tribes are treated like animals.
