WETANGULA shocks RAILA ODINGA as he gets support from UHURU/ RUTO’s side
– Senate Minority Leader and CORD co-Principal, Moses Wetangula, has changed tune and rooted for a retreat between Raila Odinga’s CORD and Uhuru/ Ruto’s Jubilee instead of a national dialogue being advocated for by former Prime Minister.
Addressing the Senate on Wednesday, Wetangula said if the Government is opposed to the national dialogue, then it should organize for a retreat to be attended by Jubilee and CORD, including Governors and security heads, to address problems facing Kenya.
He said the forum will come up with all inclusive solutions to the many problems affecting Kenya, noting that the blame game will not help in any way.
“We cannot continue passing blame while people die. The Government continues to talk tough and nothing happens,” said Wetangula.
Wetangula’s idea for a retreat was supported by majority of Senators from the Jubilee side, among them Kipchumba Murkomen and Mutahi Kagwe.
The Jubilee legislators however, said, the retreat must come up with measures that need to be put in place to stump out insecurity otherwise there will be no need for it.
This comes even as Raila Odinga has maintained that national dialogue is a must and he will stop at nothing until Uhuru/ Ruto give in to his demands.
