Monday December 30, 2013 – A section of leaders from the Luhya region have rebuked residents for supporting the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD while complaining that they have been left behind on matters of development.
Speaking during the homecoming of Bumula MP, Boniface Otsiula, held at Mungore Primary School grounds on Saturday, the leaders said the Luhya community should not expect the Government to help them if they continue playing opposition politics.
“You should not expect the Government to help you if you do not support it,’ Webuye West MP, Dan Wanyama, said.
However the leaders pleaded with the Government to consider the community for appointments in Government.
They urged President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto to include members of the Luhya community in their government so that the community can feel to be part of the Government.
