Senior Manager – Events
We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Events & Sponsorships Department within the Marketing Division.
In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:Reporting to the Head of Department-Events & Sponsorships, the position holder will oversee all Safaricom events.
The job holder will also liaise with other departments, event organizers and other 3rd party suppliers to ensure quality corporate image during all brand activities and events.
The job holder’s key responsibilities will be to:
Management of all Safaricom events Portfolio (Internal & External) including Brand Assets, MJC and Sponsorship based events;
Drive continuous improvement in program efficiency and effectiveness through thoughtful event execution;
Management of agencies and 3rd party event suppliers;
Forecasting, budgeting and cost management monitoring and reporting on the performance of the partnerships we engage with;
Oversee all aspects of event production / end to end event management including but not limited to operations and quality control;
Oversee event risk management and crisis management;
Expenditure of the assigned budget to drive increasingly efficient ROI, with regards to Partner performance, productions and resourcing levels;
Submission of timely reports on activities within the section.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills & competencies:
Bachelor Undergraduate degree;
Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in end to end event management;
Strong creative and conceptual skills;
Strong network of contacts to ensure that business benefits from the strategic partnerships;
Attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communications skills;
An excellent planner and organizer;
A team player, attention to detail;
Keen ability to deliver to specifications and in a timely manner.
