RAILA ODINGA pulls another surprise as he offers to meet UHURU alone like KIBAKI
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga seemed to tone down his hardline demand for national dialogue between Uhuru/ Ruto’s Jubilee and his CORD side together with all stakeholders to address the problems facing Kenya as a nation.
Speaking yesterday in Kibera, Raila shifted gear and sought a direct meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta alone at a secret location where they will talk as brothers without pressure from their sycophants and hardliners.
The former PM indicated that he may use the same tactic he used on ex-President Mwai Kibaki to sign the Peace Accord on Uhuru, where they abandoned their sycophants and went to a secret location and came up with the peace agreement that ended the 2007/ 2008 post election violence bloodshed.
He said meeting Uhuru alone and away from noise was the best choice to end the stalemate between the two sides and expressed optimism that President Kenyatta would respond to a letter he wrote to him last week as the first step towards that all important meeting.
Raila’s call for national dialogue has elicited mixed reactions with Jubilee accusing him of plotting to destabilize Uhuru/ Ruto’s Government through unnecessary tension.
