RAILA ODINGA in deep trouble as TOBIKO orders that he be questioned by CID for saying KDF rigged the March 4th poll in favour of UHURU/ RUTO
Friday February 28, 2014 – The Director of Public Prosecutions, Keriako Tobiko, has ordered the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to investigate former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, for saying Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) rigged the March 4th poll.
In a letter to the CID on Thursday, Keriako directed that fresh investigations be conducted into remarks attributed to the former Premier, during a public meeting in Kisumu, and commence immediately.
Keriako was responding to a letter by Kiharu MP, Irungu Kangata, who asked him to probe the former PM for making derogatory remarks regarding the KDF.
Tobiko further directed the MP to present himself to the CID offices to file a formal complaint and record a statement so that full investigations may commence.
“Do cause investigations to be conducted into the allegations contained in the aforesaid letter and submit your report and findings thereon to this office for perusal and appropriate directions.” The DPP ordered Kangata.
Raila is accused of saying that KDF colluded with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in rigging his victory in favour of Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.
Here is what Raila said during the rally in Kisumu…
“They are just going in circles because of what they took, nobody won. They took it by force as Kajwang was telling you. What happened there is similar to what is called a military coup. Because this thing was being coordinated by military chiefs,”
So far Raila Odinga has refuted the claims.
