RAILA and KIBAKI should be at ICC – MAINA KIAI says as he exonerates UHURU/ RUTO
– United Nations Human Rights Rapporteur, Maina Kiai, has sensationally stated that the International Criminal Court (ICC) should have arrested former President Mwai Kibaki and former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, because they were the main protagonists during the 2007-08 post election violence.
In an exclusive interview with a journalist at Hotel Mercure in the Hague, Netherlands, Maina who was the chairman of the Kenya National Human Rights Commission (KNHRC) during the 2007-08 post election violence said ICC arrested “small fish” instead of “big fish” who made Kenyans kill each other like dogs.
“I wish there was evidence for that. The role of the ICC is to get the big fish. There was no bigger fish at that time than Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga,” Maina said.
He also said ICC failed to collect evidence in Kenya and that was the reason the two Kenyan cases are collapsing like the Tower of Babel.
Maina concluded by urging ICC Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, to drop the two Kenyan cases because she will be embarrassed at the end.
