Job Title: Paralegal Executive
Reports to: Legal and Regulatory Director

Basic Purpose:

Custodian of legal and regulatory records.

Is responsible for the secure use of the company seal.

Ensures that all company contracts and records are properly signed and that the company contract signing procedures are adhered to at all times.
Ensures that all company contracts and documents are securely stored and accessible.

 

Ensures that all Board and Shareholder records are complete, secure and accessible.

Works with the legal officers and the Director to ensure that all records requiring registration are duly registered and coordinates the applications to the various registries.

Ensures that the various licences required by the Company for its business premises are obtained on time.

Responsible for filing the requisite regulatory and company secretarial returns on time.

Provides advice and administrative support to legal officers  and the Director.

Operates under moderate supervision, with regular review of completed assignments.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

Documentation and Record Keeping
  • Custodian of legal and regulatory records.

Liaison with Various Government Registries and offices

  • Works with the legal officers and the Director to ensure that all records requiring registration are duly registered and coordinates the applications to the various registries.
Legal Compliance
  • Ensures that the various licences required by the Company for its business premises are obtained on time.
  • Responsible for filing the requisite regulatory and company secretarial returns on time.
Administrative Support for Department
  • Provides advice and administrative support to legal officers and the Director.
  • Operates under moderate supervision, with regular review of completed assignments.

Qualifications:
  • A diploma or certificate in legal studies
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Knowledge of the procedures and requirements of the various government registries and the regulatory authority.
  • Good knowledge of the Company’s procedures and processes.
  • Able to handle, prioritize, multiple projects simultaneously
  • IT literacy
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Abel to operate in a performance driven organisation
  • Knowledge of English
