ODM MPs announce plans to ditch RAILA ODINGA to UHURU/ RUTO – Even his brother!
– Two prominent Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MPs have announced plans to ditch Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) for Jubilee alliance.
The two, who defied the TNA wave in Meru region, to be elected MPs, have said they are tired of CORD’s rhetoric and empty talk.
The two MPs are Tigania East MP, Mpuri Aburi and his Igembe Central counterpart, Kubai Iringo, who on Sunday said they are ready to leave CORD for Jubilee alliance.
When making the announcement, Mpuri, who is fondly referred to as “Raila Odinga’s brother,” said he has been in ODM for many years and he has finally realized that the party has nothing to offer to Kenyans.
He also said the Jubilee coalition will rule for 20 years urging other ODM leaders to join Jubilee because the party will collapse soon.
“We do not need to keep singing ODM, ODM, ODM whereas we were defeated. If you can’t beat them join them,” Mpuri said.
Jubilee lawmakers are happy with the two MPs’ move saying this will bolster their “tyranny of numbers”.
