MUTHAMA begs anti-CORRUPTION to move swiftly and arrest ALFRED MUTUA – he is a thief and a criminal who belongs to Kamiti Maximum Prison
Friday February 28, 2014 – Outspoken Machakos Senator, Johnston Muthama, has challenged Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua to come clean about the issues raised by the Auditor General over misappropriation of public funds and refund the money he stole.
Addressing mourners at a burial in Matungulu Constituency, Muthama appealed to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to move swiftly and arrest Governor Mutua for stealing public money saying he is a criminal and should not be allowed to walk free.
He refuted claims that Mutua used sh2.8 million in the burial of Makueni Senator, the late Mutula Kilonzo, saying there was no such money.
“I was a key member of the committee that planned Mutula’s burial and no such funds from Machakos County Government were captured in the budget”, said Muthama.
He said he won’t rest until Mutua is sent to Kamiti Maximum Prison.
“The reason I have been making noise is because I cannot sit and watch as your taxes get misused by people who care less about the welfare of the poor residents but I am not going to rest until they are all thrown in jail”, he vowed.
