Job Title: Distribution Sales Manager – FMCG

Our client is one of the leading importers and distributors of various types of fast moving consumer goods. 
They seek to hire a sales manager to provide the company with increased sales productivity and revenues; manage sales accounts; increase and align distribution network; restructure the sales and merchandising teams to suit company objectives; build the brands and expand the product reach.


Job Responsibilities
  • Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans
  • Develop and lead a sales & marketing team that will develop and execute new concepts, business models, channels and partners to position business as innovator and leader
  • Development & implementation of sales & marketing plans
  • Prepare and adhere to budgets
  • Increasing market share of products in the various product lines and categories
  • Manage and supervise the sales team; including assistant managers, area sales rep’s, merchandisers, marketing coordinators
  • Manage the key accounts, distribution networks and introduce new channels
  • Responsible for ensuring cash collection target is met
  • Reporting to directors, with detailed information on sales, performance, targets, geographies, product segments, etc
  • Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual business plans, in conjunction with the CEO, which detail activities to follow during the fiscal year
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues
  • Develop databases of qualified leads through referrals, telephone conversing, face to face, cold calling on potential businesses, direct mail, email, and networking
  • Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory
  • Market research
  • Deepen relationships with all media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the organization
  • Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities
Key Qualifications
  • Holder of a Bachelor degree from a recognized University in Business, Sales & Marketing or related field
  • MUST have at least 5 years’ experience in a senior sales and marketing position in FMCG industry
  • Preferable candidate should have handled imports distribution
  • Willingness to travel and work out of the office
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
