Our client, a well-known company in the logistics industry in Kenya is looking for an energetic, results-oriented individual who lives in Mombasa, Kenya for the following position:
 
HR Assistant
 
Duties and Responsibilities
The job holder shall contribute to the overall planning and execution of the Human Resources strategy, with a prime focus on the following:
  • Assisting in Recruitment and orientation of new employees
  • Assisting in Performance Management and Training and Development
  • Assisting in Leave and Attendance Management and taking of minutes during meetings
  • Assisting with HR records management, preparation of proposals & development of presentations
  • Assisting with the implementation of Change Management and Talent Management initiatives
  • Assisting with employment law compliance and the implementation of HR Policies
  • Assisting in population of systems and online department documents
  • Assisting in tracking and management of Staff Contracts
  • Assisting in Employee Engagement activities and Discipline Management
  • Assisting in the calculation of HR ratios and preparation of HR Reports
  • Assisting in handling internal client requests up to conclusion and with research and trend analysis
  • Collaborating closely with the various functional units and departments in the Company to ensure that business objectives are achieved, and managing internal and external client relations
  • Any other duties that may be allocated from time to time
Requirements
  • Must be currently living in Mombasa, Kenya
  • Business degree from a recognized university (degree in Human Resources is preferred)
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Advanced proficiencies in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar capacity is a must
