Gor Mahia set to raid Thika Utd for star duo.
Friday, November 29, 2013 –Kenya Premier League champions, Gor Mahia, have identified Thika United star midfielder, David King’atua and attacker, Francis Kahata as their top transfer targets.
Gor who won the League title this year after 18-years, are keen to build on that success by bolstering their charges for next season where they will also take part in the CAF African Champions League.
King’atua and Kahata have been regulars for the Thika based outfit but a chance to join the Kenya premier League giants would be too tempting to turn down.
As part of the reorganization plan, Gor are also keen to offload up to six players from the side that won the League as coach Bobby Williamson who succeeded Zdravko Logarusic mid-way through the season moves to exert his authority.
A source in the club said: “When Williamson arrived at Gor he said there were very few players who could play to his tune.
“The coach said he was making do with what he has as he waited for the season to end.
Gor have already secured the signature of Ugandan international, Musa Mudde who was a free agent having been released by Simba SC.
