Monday November 25, 2013 – According to the latest research conducted by Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) in collaboration with Society for International Development (SID), Nairobi County is the richest county while Turkana County is the poorest of all the 47 Counties.
The report also shows that Kenya’s overall poverty level has fallen for the first time in 10 years, though the drop is minimal.
For instance in Nairobi, two in 10 people live in absolute poverty and cannot afford Sh 2,913 per month.
In Turkana, 88 percent of the people are unable to afford Sh 1,562 per month.
