BAD NEWS for RAILA ODINGA as TSC will sack any teacher who will attend Saba Saba
– The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General, Wilson Sossion, has warned teachers against absconding duties during the Saba Saba rallies planned for July 7th.
In a statement to the press on Monday morning, Sossion said his union will not defend any teacher who absconds his duties to attend the planned CORD incitement rallies.
“Any teacher who does not report to work on 7/ 7 will be sacked.” Sossion said.
The teachers’ boss also pleaded with former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, urging him to stop the ongoing incitement rallies for the sake of country’s prosperity.
“When at one time I was leading a teachers’ strike, my brother Raila Odinga asked me not to pursue that route if a solution was to be found. Now I ask him as a senior citizen and statesman, he should scale down his political activities in the country and find other ways of pushing for dialogue for the sake of the children and citizens of this country,” Sossion said.
He said the planned Saba Saba may plunge the country into chaos as those witnessed during the 2007-08 post election bloodshed.
