Arsenal boss reveals admiration for prolific striker.
Friday, November 29, 2013-Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has hinted at moving for highly rated Olympiakos striker, Konstantinos Mitroglou in the January transfer window.
The Gunners need to bring on board another striker to share the goal scoring burden with Olivier Giroud who is currently the club’s lone striker after Niklas Bendtner failed to inspire any confidence.
The 25-year old has attracted interest from top clubs across Europe with his impressive tally of 14 goals in 10 Greek Super League games for Olympiakos this season.
Speaking to Eurosport, Wenger gave a glowing tribute of the striker hinting at a potential
Wenger said: “At Arsenal we know him well because we have played against Olympiakos in the Champions League.
“He has both physical presence and the ability to finish in the box.
Arsenal are also eyeing Barcelona youngster Tonny Sanabria and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
Sanabria, 17, is still on a youth contract – as players can’t sign professional terms until they’re 18 in Spain.
